Somerset Active Living works in partnership with voluntary, community and statutory organisations and has a network of over 110 community, voluntary groups, clubs and organisations across Somerset. Active Living Centres provide an opportunity to take part in local activities, enjoy the company of others, and access all sorts of information about keeping well and active. Centres are a vibrant ‘hub’ providing a friendly environment, and hosting a variety of activities, as well as being a source of information about preventative services and activities for older people. All our groups are community led with Volunteers running groups, giving their time to support the development of local services and activities for older people. |
Active Living and Somerset County Council work together in partnership with many other agencies to provide activities and information for people aged 50 and over. Partner agencies involved with Active Living include: Somerset NHS, Somerset You can Do, Avon and Somerset Police, District Council Lifestyles Teams, Age UK Somerset and the wider voluntary and community sector.
